We have been so busy at Rogue Paper these past few weeks with Duke Game Time and a few other projects in the works (very exciting news coming soon), that we are just now able to comment on Stephanie’s experience at CTIA, speaking on the “Women in Wireless” panel and the conference as a whole.
The panel was moderated by the lovely and accomplished Jalak Jopanputra (@jalak), who alone should serve as an inspiration to women everywhere. Smart, fearless, and socially minded, Jalak’s career has been driven by passion and a desire for change, resulting in some impressive accomplishment. Having left lunch with a top political advisor to moderate the panel, Stephanie was honored to be among the women chosen, including Evil Genius Designs, MoxieQ and Open Air Equity Partners.
Topics ranged from curation (we believe someone should moderate social media content), a debate on carriers role in the future of mobile, and the perennial question of how to achieve balance.
The most interesting discussion for us, as a female-led tech company, was how women entrepreneurs are perceived. Rogue Paper has had an incredibly positive experience in the Silicon Valley – in the number of people willing to help, the growing number of fellow female entrepreneurs, and how memorable we are within the community.
Thank you again to CTIA for inviting us to be part of an amazing group of women and we look forward to working with you all in the future.
